Awesome local gem. This is a classic Italian restaurant run and owned by two generations of family. Portions are huge and the food is delicious! I was lucky to have made a reservation since I had a large group here; to celebrate my Grandma's 96th birthday. What a great choice indeed as it was our first time dining here. The restaurant is cozy and filled with regulars, which is often a great sign. Dish after dish, we pigged out and enjoyed every bite. I highly recommend the Penne Alla Vodka and the Linguine Vongole. Also a great bet was the seafood salad and Cesar salad. Plenty to share! The drinks are made with care and the food is made with love.

Top ten authentic Italian in New York. This small restaurant nestled into a corner of 64th street on Bay Parkway in Bensonhurst, is a time capsule in Italian fare and ambience. Andy and Virginia are brother and sister, carrying on the traditions of their family. You will not do better than Ortobello's, family style Italian plates!
